Dine Out for Education a Success!
Thanks to our 34 participating restaurants and businesses during our fall Dine Out for Education event on September 18 and to our ICCSD staff, families and community supporters! We are grateful for those who took the time to support our schools while enjoying some great local food and hospitality. Mark your calendar for our spring Dine Out event on March 5, 2015!
Make a Run For the Schools Donation
by November 1
The 16th annual Run for the Schools race was held on Sunday, October 19 with over 2,441 run registrants. The road run raises money for the Iowa City Community School District and Regina Catholic schools through registrations, sponsorships, and donations. While the race itself is now in the history books, there is still time to make a Run for the Schools donation through November 1. Each donation the ICCSD Foundation receives earns us more from the Run for the Schools event. So, donate now and earn more for our schools!
Welcome to Visiting Author
Welcome to author/illustrator Peter Brown who will be visiting with ICCSD first and second graders during the week of October 20-24. Thank you to Hills Bank, the title sponsor of the Visiting Author program. Click to get more information about this program or to find out about Mr. Brown’s books.
Academic Booster Club
You can be our children’s biggest fan!
Support students in the Iowa City Community School District by joining the ICCSD Foundation’s Academic Booster Club (ABC)! Show our children how important they are to the future of our community by proudly displaying your ABC window decal! Individual and family annual memberships are $15. Business annual memberships are $100. Proceeds benefit the Foundation’s Excellence Fund which helps support sustaining programs such as Visiting Author, Symphony Goes to School, and School of the Wild, as well as secondary school STEM initiatives.
