Big Idea Hunt

Big Idea Hunt logoWe have launched our first ever Big Idea Hunt for the spring Excellence Fund Grant cycle! The Foundation is giving back up to $100,000 for innovative, collaborative and creative ideas our District staff want to try. Thank you to Integrated DNA Technologies for helping us with this new Big Idea! Stay tuned for announcements this spring!

Every School, Every 6th Grader Art Project

Any Given Child 6th Grade Animation Project:  From December through February, artist Mark Jones will be working with every sixth grade art class in the Iowa City Community School District to introduce students to light painting animation and the PABLO app. During a one hour workshop, students will create an animated loop to be composited into an all-district “fireworks show” video.

IC Athletic Booster Club Pancake Day

Pancake DayThe 56th Annual Pancake Day sponsored by the Iowa City Athletic Booster Club is being held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 from 6:30 am – 2:00 pm at West High School.  Find out more about the breakfast, purchase tickets, make a donation, or become a sponsor.
